Do you want to make a lasting contribution to Fort Hunter?  Consider a donation to support one of several enduring preservation projects at Fort Hunter Park.  All donations to the park are acknowledged in the newsletter and listed in a donation booklet displayed in the Tavern House Common Room.  And, since Fort Hunter is a 501-c(3) Non-Profit Organization, such donations may be tax-deductible (contact your tax professional for more information).

 DONATE TO SPECIAL PROJECTS

Fort Hunter Park is changing for the better!  Restoration plans promise to revive and beautify the park for all visitors.  And, your  support is welcome!  Currently, donations are being accepted for two special projects in the Park:

  1. Landscape Fund: The Mansion gardens need constant care, the historic trees in the park must be looked after, and new development projects such as the covered bridge require landscaping. The opportunity exists to add to the beauty of Fort Hunter Park. Please consider a donation to the landscape fund. Your gift will be acknowledged in the newsletter and in a donor register kept on display in the Tavern House. Please send donations to the Mansion, Attention: Director.
  2. Restoring the Mansion Garden: This project includes significant landscaping and replanting. Donations for this project can range from single plants listed in the restoration plan to rebuilding of the original garden gazebo.
Contact Julia Hair, Park Manager, to review the restoration plans and select a sponsorship.

 DONATE TO THE ENDOWMENT
The more self-sufficient Fort Hunter is, the greater the chances of it remaining preserved in perpetuity. Your generous contributions to the endowment create a lasting legacy that addresses the needs of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The Fort Hunter Fund is a permanent endowment held at The Greater Harrisburg Foundation.
Because it is a permanent Fund, the principal can never be distributed. Each year the Board of Trustees for Fort Hunter can use the interest income from the Fund to support activities and operations for the Mansion and Park. Contact the Director or the Greater Harrisburg Foundation to make a permanent and lasting gift or bequest to Fort Hunter.

Contact Julia Hair, Park Manager, to discuss the advantages of a Donation to the Endowment.
