JANUARY Coffeehouse Featuring Local and Regional Folk Performers
An intimate evening showcasing Central Pennsylvania's fine amateur acoustic musicians. Cabaret seating and tasty refreshments create an informal coffeehouse atmosphere in the cozy, rustic barn.

MARCH Maple Sugar Festival
This homey, hands-on event is free for everyone. Kids' activities plus tap a tree, have real maple syrup on ice cream, and learn the mysteries of maple sugar making. Try maple taste tests, see a great DVD on maple sugar activities & shop for delicious PA maple products.

Educators' Workshop:* "Native Americans along the Susquehanna"
Learn about the Native Americans who once farmed and hunted here. You'll take part in the new hands-on school program - furnish a wigwam, make pottery and more. Professor David Foster will talk about resources Indians used. An expert on Indian technology, Jim Stutzman will show Indian techniques for making fire, tools, etc. Breakfast supplied, bring bag lunch. Dress for short outdoor period. Holiday Egg Hunt
Enjoy the First Annual Holiday Egg Hunt. At two hunts starting at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm, thousands of plastic eggs will be filled with candy. Each hunt will be divided by ages; 2-4 years old, 5-8 years old and 9-12 years of age. Take part in special family activities such as face painting, pony rides, recreational activities and kite flying.

Kevin Burke & Cal Scott in Concert
Fiddler Kevin Burke has been described by the Village Voice as being "Lyric, fluid and precisely as tricky as he needs to be,” guitarist Cal Scott is a master of many styles who specializes in creating music that tells a story, that gives a sense of place and time.

APRIL Double Decker String Band in Concert
Inspired by the old Southern string bands of the 1920s and 30s, the members of this band are simultaneously playful, inventive and seriously authentic. They have been a major contributor to the old-time music scene and are known for their humor, musicianship and dedication to traditional music.

In the 1 ½ hour Native American workshop students will make pottery, furnish a wigwam and more. Children will also tour the Fort Hunter Mansion. MAY Garden Faire
Relax at scenic Fort Hunter while taking in a free event with a Victorian accent. Stroll through the plant sale & craft show. Watch displays of Victorian dancing and browse through exhibits on Victorian daily life. Try tasty food at the Café and walk through the art show and sale. Garden chats and children's activities are offered, as well as the cakewalks to live music. Fee for Mansion tour.

Blues & Wine Festival
Relax and listen to the music of national blues recording artists along with Pennsylvania's elite blues artists and bands while strolling beautiful Fort Hunter Park to sample some of Pennsylvania's finest wineries. Bring a picnic basket, lawn chair or blanket; there will be limited space for 10x10 canopies.

SEPTEMBER Archaeological Excavation
Archaeologists from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission continue their search for the 1750s French and Indian War fort. They are also uncovering aspects of Native American occupation from thousands of years ago.

OCTOBER Pennsylvania Indians Festival
Curious about how Pennsylvania Indians once lived? Visit a wigwam, learn about the food Indians grew and gathered, how they hunted and made fire. See their tools, dances, music, beadwork and clothing, pottery and the animals and plants they used. A food stand and a specialized museum shop will be available.
